Most of us don�t stay in place for very long these days; especially during the warm summer months. We are often in the car, on the train or in an airplane on our way to �somewhere� during the vacation period. Now, you don�t have to be bored sitting through a four-hour car or train ride. If your iPod allows movie viewing, next you will need to convert your video/movie files to a format the iPod can �read�. Most movies are currently saved in MPEG, MPG or AVI files; iPods can only play those which are in the MP4 format. You will need a software converter program to change the files into MP4�s. There are many fine programs available for converting your files, among the most popular are; MP3 Rocket, iPod Blender and iTunes 7.7. Any of these will do the job quickly and quite easily. Once you have the software, install it on your computer � it�s easy to do, follow a couple of quick steps for complete installation.

If you have DSL or high-speed cable, the process will be faster than if you rely on dial-up services. No matter what type of connection you have, the process is pretty quick and simple. Once you have converted your video files from your personal computer to the MP4 format they can be downloaded to your iPod. And, that�s it, you�re done; you can now watch movies on your iPod whenever you want to.
